Should we fear being complicit to sin

“Whether a tree falls to the south or to the north, in the place where it falls, there it will lie.” __ Eccles. 11:3

I watched the following episode of Vortex from Church Militant this morning:

https://www.churchmilitant.com/video/episode/vortex-stone-cold-killer

The quote above from Ecclesiastes appears toward the end of the short video in the context of judgement. We either fall toward heaven or fall toward hell and there we shall be forever.

When I contemplate those things which our accuser will accuse us of when we pass this life, it does not have to be as horrendous as the murder of 10’s of millions of innocent babies that we might bear as unrepentant sins on our souls but it seems to me that for those Catholics who believe in the validity of the Sacraments, especially absolution of sins in confession and the reception of our Lord in the Eucharist, might have to face the accuser’s accusation of being complicit in the destruction of these Sacramental graces given us by Christ’s Church.

For other’s that do not look on these things as Catholic’s do, then their belief that they are simply symbolic, may allow them a pass due to what a Catholic would term invincible ignorance or a lack of the full knowledge to compel them to embrace these truths.

It is the simplest argument I have against the previous arguments for a valid female priesthood. Would I want to be responsible for rendering the lifesaving Sacraments of both Confession and Communion from future millions of souls . . . thus making the Church that we hold as the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic manifestation of Christ working on earth impotent in the regard of these graces?

I for one hope that all souls will fall toward heaven rather than hell: for where we fall, there will we lie.
