We live in an age of rapid change. If, as many believe, the return of Christ is near, then we also live at a time of transition from the “Times of the Gentiles” to the Millennium.
Some see references to modern technology in prophetic portions of the Bible. For example, the scene in Revelation 11 in which the world looks upon the dead bodies of the Two Witnesses, has been understood as a reference to telecommunications: the world can see their bodies via satellite and wireless communication systems.
Some have seen the Mark of the Beast as a computer controlled system. In order to access money or things in action, one would need to sign up to the system in some way (e.g. by receiving an access code, app, or chip), and in so doing, one gives allegiance to the Beast.
Our current epoch is truly astounding (and terrifying) in the rate of change in technology, the new applications for technology, and our dependence upon it. This weekend, I have been exploring the world of computer generated music and chatbots. While AI is still in its infancy, it looks as if, given the right exposure and support, it can grow to achieve incredible things.
This raises the serious question of personhood. At what point does AI become a person (an ontological question) and how will it and we know that it is a person (an epistemological question). For example, if one is a person because one thinks one is (subjective determination), how would an outsider know this. Saying, “I am a person”, does not in and of itself provide indisputable proof. This could merely be a response that the system has learned to generate in response to certain stimuli.
Where we are going with all of this development remains to be seen. If we do not receive godly wisdom in these matters (and obey its precepts), then we may come to serious misfortune. I find myself amazed by what little I have seen so far, but also frightened by the possibility of evil applications of technology by legislators and members of the executive and influential corporate entities.
A New World indeed:

Of course. Almost all of the West is embracing the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN and many have no idea of what they are supporting. Who is going to enforce (and by what force) are they going to implement their goal for 2030? Tyranny creeps closer and closer every single day and the video (though long) shows how creepy these goals truly are. The West as a whole is under this new man-made religion that we must follow ‘or else’. And one wonders how they are going to mandate these . . . and who is going to ensure our obedience. The old proselytizing of the morality of the Natural Law used to be unifying factor though we always knew it was unenforcible. These seems to be Satan’s direct opposition to God and pushes the “we will become as Gods” lie that we see in Genesis.

If it continues apace, it will force Christians underground and the Mark of the Beast, in various forms, will creep in. They will attack churches that do not comply with the eco/socialist/feminist/LGBT/Islamic agenda by stripping them of their tax breaks and then moving on from there till there is no choice but to meet in homes and “waste places” as if we were the demoniac of Gedara/Gerasa.

Yes, it makes one wonder when we have to have the UN invade places such as Poland who will never agree to this plans (at least I hope not).

The Poles will not willingly see Catholicism turned into western, liberal pap – but how can they resist if the Curia is dominated by pro-Francis prelates? It seems to me that they will either have to ask their priests to rebel when push comes to shove (and elect a new Pope when BXVI dies) or go to the Orthodox or Protestant sides.

I think schism will be occurring in both the Catholic and Protestant spheres of Christianity. They mentioned two books in the video (both I recommend), AA1025 and Fr. Elijah. And each is almost prophetic to this very ‘creepy’ bunch of globalists in the UN. Frightening at best.

Yes – fortunately for me, my church is essentially independent (though we do belong to the Baptist Union). If things go south, I would try to join a housegroup or non-compromising church. I think as far as the RC is concerned, the important thing will be to keep the liturgy going, like the whisky priest does in Graham Greene’s, “The Power and the Glory”. In some respects, going underground might actually be an improvement.

Indeed, the question is who is leaving whom? Who has the Faith and who has the buildings and which is more important? St. Athanasius makes this point back in the days of the Arians and it is applicable to our our own times. But then, since Marxism with many of the same goals, fell flat on their face, may simply implode because God directs His Church and is in control. He said the poor will always be with us and if these naturalistic endeavors to create a man-made utopia are implemented only chaos, death, worsening poverty and health will ensue. These people are the bearers of the Masonic ideals of god-like men fixing what is wrong with God’s creation and making it right. Failure will occur’ The only question is how much misery or how much chaos and/or killing will take place to enforce their globalist mandates on all of mankind. They cannot possibly enforce this (at least not for long).

Truly, when we look at the fundamentals of these ideologies, they seem like madmen shouting at the wind to stop blowing.
The conservative accepts the laws of God and nature and uses them to produce the best possible ends. The radical tries to break the laws of God and nature and complains when nothing makes sense anymore (if he has any wits left to appreciate it). Radicalism if followed to the end, leads to bestiality or worse.

I think they are not as much ‘complaining’ as their hubris to think that they can ‘one-up’ God’s natural law and replace it with a better man-created order that suits themselves. They are narcissistic enough to believe that they have it right and God got it wrong (though they long ago lost their belief in God but not in themselves).

Either way, it’s madness: and that is what we are really fighting against – the inmates running the asylum.

And funny how many adherents they have now drawn to their agenda. That the Catholic Church is now largely held captive to these goals and methods shows clearly, in my mind, that the leaders either have lost their faith, are clueless or have joined the dark side. Hopefully, the majority are simply clueless and once they see the madness will awaken and become the sleeping giant that will be part of the cleansing of the Temple. The other part will be its ham-fisted manner in shoving lies down the throats of the common man. The common good mandate is about to be flipped on its head and the power at be, around the world, are embracing the common evil that comes from our continued concupiscence and pride. Nothing good can come of such a plan and it is destined to fail or lead us to civil wars, world wars or a total breakdown of civilization itself.

Indeed – the Trump supporters in the USA and “white van man” in the UK will resist these agendas. If Brexit is not delivered, then I suspect the UK will see its own version of the Gilets Jaunes – but with police state action in response, possibly.

Well we see increasing violence among the yellow vests and you may be right. An over reaction to them may start something that may begin a long period of disobedience and terrorist activity to go along with the already blossoming Islam terrorism which will not be abated until their expulsion, at least in my mind.

No system is perfect, however. America has a great constitution in theory, but you’re let down by bad people occupying important positions. Even if we managed to reform our own constitution and churches, there’s no guarantee they would not be corrupted again at some later date.

Absolutely. The lingering effects of Original Sin remain with men all our lives. All we can hope to do is find periods of peace between the whack-a-mole with rising evil threats. They always return as do we. We know the winner at the end though which should give us some hope and courage.

I think that is in part why Satan is bound in the Abyss during the Millennium. The Millennium is a re-run of Eden minus the Tempter. When he is released at its end, Gog and Magog form once more and mankind rebels against Christ and the Saints. A sad indictment of humanity – 1000 years of blissful rule, and we still want to be God. It’s pathetic. We couldn’t make ourselves happy in a cocaine plant – we are, as far as our own power to heal is concerned, incurable. Only grace and purgation can help us. We should all be burned, and that is the truth.

Maybe that is the mercy behind the sentence mankind bears; that we all must face death . . . a reminder that we cannot live without him . . . though even there they are trying to eliminate aging, death or finding ways to download our conscience (no soul of course) into AI . . . a type of immortality they think. It is all very insane and yes we have world who lets these patients run the asylum.

I miss the liturgy, truly I do. There was a time when I attended Anglo-Catholic eucharist in chapel at college. We said it in English, not Latin, but it was still beautiful.

Yes, the parts that are truly part of the Roman Canon are beautiful in any language. I only have opposition to the parts made up by committee and are pure novelty and the actions that confuse the Body of Christ with the Bridegroom . . . thanks mostly to the feminist movement.

All very sad, destruction for the sake of destruction. This V2 crowd are neither true Catholic nor true Protestant – worst of both worlds.

Things have gotten rather worldly I’m afraid. They are more interested in worldly ideas of equality rather than being happy with the purposes (part of God’s plan and natural law) allotted to men/women, priests/laity, etc. Everybody must be equal with the same choices and with outcomes that are equal as well. Sounds just like what we here from the Leftist Dims these days.

Time to start praying like we’ve never prayed before: including prayers for the removal of the tares.

That separation will come soon enough; I pray that many of the tares might be spiritually modified into wheat so that they may save their own souls and hopefully many others.

A schism more or less has occurred in the United Methodist Church. The Catholic Church is split as well just not formally.

At least good brother Nicholas is prepaired to abandon his religion and meet in independent groups in homes. Good brother scoop still feels he should beat that dead horse of Catholicism. Good brother Chalcedon used to tell me that the catholic church is a hospital for sinners. This assumes the sinner is healed. Lets see how many got healed. Well, Marciel died an unrepentant pedophile. N0 healing there. mcCarrick is 87 and still going strong as a homo pedophile.. Nothing there. Pell is a old homo in prison for pedophilia. He never got healed. Seems like the hospital claim is worthless as all the other claims.
Jesus stands at your door, not the door to a den of iniquity religion….he stands at your door and knocks. Dont keep ignoring him for your sick sad religion. The time is at hand.
