Emile Ratelband, 69, answers journalists’ questions on December 3, 2018 in Amsterdam, following the court’s ruling regarding his legal bid to slash 20 years off his age. – The Amsterdam court rejected Ratelbands request in a case that drew worldwide attention. Ratelband went to court last month, arguing that he didnt feel 69 and saying his request was consistent with other forms of personal transformation which are gaining acceptance in the Netherlands and around the world, such as the ability to change ones name or gender. I saw that headline earlier this month. This world is sick, just plain sick. The ancient pagans were under the dominion of foreign gods – I don’t know what this world’s excuse is.

The only excuse worth exploring is a loss in sanity itself.

It is as if society is eating itself, rather like the Monty Python poem.

I left the following response in the comments at that article:
The good news. Nobody should ever again be out of a job. You can ‘feel’ like anything you want and enter it on your resume for a job. I might, for instance feel like an engineer, though I am not one, and get hired to be an engineer or even a rocket scientist should that tickle my fancy.

Truly disturbing what times we live in – even the Romans wouldn’t have permitted this to come to court, unless Nero was present, of course.

Indeed.
If you ever get arrested for ‘hate speech’ you may now use the following defense. I think I am a judge and therefore I find the judge in this case guilty of judgeaphobia and his condemnation of me is in itself hate speech and I order you to indict him immediately. 🙂

That would be hilarious but for the reality of prison life. Look at what happened to Tommy Robinson…

I know. It would have to be a national movement to make insane claims using their own court rulings as precedent. If enough people did things like this the courts couldn’t handle it and they would have a heck of a time showing why 1 claim should be accepted and another rejected since they are all operating on the same premise that what we think is more important than nature, natural reason or simple common sense. How do they pick and choose among them?
