Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.

There has been an attack on Christians in Surabaya, Indonesia. At least 11 people have died. No one deserves to be murdered for worshipping Jesus Christ. This is a sad day, an evil comment on what humanity is capable of, alongside any dark powers that may have influenced the killers.

[T]here should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

-1 Corinthians 12:25-26

At times like this, the one of the first reactions is anger. God knows how we feel, how much humanity groans under the weight of its own iniquity. But God is also merciful, desiring all to come to repentance. May those behind the attack, who did not kill themselves, come face to face with Jesus and find it in their hearts to repent for what they have done. May God show his infinite love and compassion to those who have lost friends and family and find themselves in mourning at this time.
