While we were having our tempest in a teapot last week, you may have missed that there was a terrorist attack in London, leaving several dead, and a fair number injured.
Our response here was to continue to argue amongst ourselves. And we wonder why Islam (and No, Mrs. Prime Minister the term is Islam, not Islamic Terrorism, certainly not all Muslims are terrorists, but multiple studies say that a large minority in Britain support Sharia law and/or terrorism) seems to be winning.
So it’s time to get our head out of the muck, look around and reassess.
This is written by William Kirkpatrick, in Crisis Magazine. He’s right, of course, about Europe, but it’s no different here, really. Perhaps Trump understands, but not many others seem to. They seemingly will continue to play the old games in the old way, until we’re all either dead or Muslim. Here are some excerpts.
Rival gangs battle in the streets and set fire to cars. Uncovered women are considered fair game. Molotov cocktails are hurled at police stations.
Syria? No, Sweden. For a long time, Sweden has been importing Middle Eastern immigrants into its small nation, and now it is experiencing many of the problems of the Middle East. The same thing is happening in France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, and England.
It’s often said that we in America just have to look at history to understand the fate that may be in store for us. But it’s no longer necessary to consult history books. All you have to do is look at what’s happening right now on the other side of the Atlantic.
In Germany during the first six months of 2016, migrants committed 142,000 crimes. But since the data only includes crimes that have been solved, the actual number of migrant crimes is likely far higher. In many parts of the country, police say they are unable to maintain law and order. More than 20,000 purses are snatched each year in Hamburg, and gangs of migrant youth have taken control of parts of the Jungfernsteig, a prestigious boulevard. The situation is much the same in Bremen, Berlin, Duisburg, Dusseldorf, and Stuttgart. All over Germany, migrant gangs and roving bands of migrant youth operate with near impunity. […]
Unless the French, the Germans, and the Swedes resist at some point soon, they, along with other European states, will someday be Islamic states. Europe is in the midst of a massive historical change, the significance of which rivals the fall of the Roman Empire. What we are witnessing is the gradual but inexorable substitution of one civilization for another.[…]
Of all the factors contributing to Islam’s hostile takeover of Europe, perhaps the most important is denial. If you deny the reality of Islamization, you can’t effectively resist it. The reality is that Europe is in a life and death struggle, but the denialists insist that it’s just business as usual. They assure us that terror has nothing to do with Islam (so don’t worry), that immigration is just cultural enrichment (it’s good for you), and that there are no no-go-zones (but it’s best to avoid them).
In Europe it’s not only the leaders who are in denial. The average citizen is expected to go along with the delusion. If he doesn’t, he can face arrest, prosecution, fines, and even jail time. In the Netherlands, individuals who post Facebook comments critical of Islam or immigration can expect a visit from the police. In Germany, citizens who express “xenophobic” views on social media risk having their children taken away. Meanwhile, the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) has ordered the British Press not to report when terrorists are Muslims. […]
Once again, the main problem is denial. The reason that the denialists cling to their denial is that they live in the past. European denialists live mentally in the post-war years. They must prove to themselves that Europe has abandoned its anti-Semitic ways. And for some insane reason, they have decided that the way to make up for Europe’s past sins is to welcome the “new Jews” (Muslims) into their midst. In short, they have made a colossal error and since it’s not easy to admit that you rank with history’s greatest blunderers, they must continue to maintain that the disaster unfolding around them is nothing more than a rough patch on the road to the multicultural Promised Land.

Yeah, all that.
Lincoln said this, “The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present… As our case is new, so we must think anew and act anew.” True then, true now. But so many, especially on the left, have forgotten nothing and learned nothing, not since well before the fall of the Soviet Union.
And since we barely teach history anymore (eminent exceptions gratefully noted) they have in addition learned nothing about how our civilization has overcome these problems. In fact, this exact problem, before. When did you learn about the Battle of Viena? How about the Battle of Lepanto? Maybe the Battle of Tours? The Fall of Constantinople? How about the Islamification of Egypt, or the Middle East?
Exactly the same thing, the west, against Islam, in Europe. We won those, so now they try a different way. and so far they are winning.
Nobel Laureate Bob Dylan had it right, “The time, they are a’changing.”
But will the change favor the west or Islam? That’s for us to decide.

I agree with you. I also read William Kilpatrick (and occasionally the blogs of Robert Spencer) so what you say isn’t news to me. But it’s hard to point this out in the UK without being thought of as “Islamophobic”. Sir Roger Scruton was good on this topic in a debate on Radio 4 recently. He said that peaceful Muslims have to recognise there are troublesome ‘suras’ in the Koran which seem to give the terrorists legitimacy. No-one doubts that most Muslims in the UK want a quiet peaceful life and to practise their religion. But they appear to have no authority over the extremist interpreters of this religion. And young people are drawn to the latter, the young men because it promises them action and looks black and white and the young women because they see the moral vacuum that their western counterparts live in. Does Islam want to live side by side with Christianity or does it want to vanquish it (along with the secular West)? History suggests the latter.

I know it is, Francis. That’s part of the reason I (an American) posted this, we’re less vulnerable. And yet, somehow the point has to be made. Sir Roger was excellent in that interview, as we expect, and get, from him. I occasionally read Robert Spencer as well, William Kirkpatrick I haven’t run across (nor doubt will).
That’s exactly my read. If I was a young man growing up in a vacuum of beliefs, I think I’d find it romantic as all get out. And girls, no matter what the feminists say, are drawn to men (and boys) willing to stand up for themselves. There’s plenty in our own history (both political and religious) to counteract, nay supersede that, but we don’t teach that part, seemingly because we’ve become ashamed of our own history. Until we do, we will not win.
That’s the question. I think history is correct in its suggestion.

Islam Explained – The % figures need updating!
Dr. Hammond’s doctorate is in Theology. He was born in Capetown in 1960, grew up in Rhodesia and converted from Islam to Christianity in 1977 Adapted from Dr. Peter Hammond’s book: ‘Slavery, Terrorism and Islam’:
Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat: Islam is a complete, total, 100% system of life with religious, legal, political, economic, social, and military components. Islamization begins when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to agitate for their religious privileges. When politically correct, tolerant, and culturally diverse societies agree to Muslim demands for their religious privileges, some other components tend to creep in as well.
How Islam Works: As long as the Muslim population remains around or under 2% in any given country, they will be for the most part be regarded as a peace loving minority, and not as a threat to other citizens. This the case in:
Tables indicate the Muslim percentage in each nation:
United States 0.6 Australia1.5% Italy 1.5% China 1.8% Norway 1.8% Canada 1.9%
At 2% to 5%, they begin to proselytize from ethnic minorities and disaffected groups, often with major recruiting from the jails and street gangs. This is happening in:

The ultimate goal of Islamists is to establish Sharia law over the entire world. From 5% on, they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their population – they will push for the introduction of halal food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims – they increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature halal along with threats for failure to comply – they work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves within their ghettos under Sharia, Islamic Law. This is occurring in:
Switzerland 4.3% Philippines 5% Sweden 5% Netherlands 5.5% Trinidad & Tobago 5.8% France 8%
When Muslims approach 10% of the population, they tend to increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions. In Paris, we are already seeing car-burnings. Any non-Muslim action offends Islam, and results in uprisings and threats, such as in Amsterdam, with opposition to Mohammed cartoons and films about Islam, tensions are seen daily, particularly in Muslim sections, in:
Kenya10% Guyana 10% India 13.4% Russia15% Israel16%
After reaching 20%, nations can expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings, and the burnings of Christian churches and Jewish synagogues, such as in: Ethiopia 32.8%
At 40%, nations experience widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks, and ongoing militia warfare, such as in:
Bosnia 40% Chad 53.1% Lebanon 59.7%
From 60%, nations experience unfettered persecution of non-believers i.e. all other religions, including non-conforming Muslims, sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon, and Jizya, the tax placed on infidels, such as in:
Sudan 70% Albania 70% Malaysia 60.4% Qatar 77.5%
After 80%, expect daily intimidation, violent jihad, some State-run ethnic cleansing, and some genocide, as these nations drive out the infidels, and move toward 100% Muslim, such as has been experienced and in some ways and is on-going in:
Bangladesh 83% Indonesia 86.1% Egypt 90% Syria 90% Tajikistan 90% Jordan 92% United A E 96% Pakistan 97%

100% will usher in the peace of ‘Dar-es-Salaam’ the Islamic House of Peace… Here there’s supposed to be peace, because everybody is a Muslim, the Madrasses are the only schools, and the Koran is the only word, such as in:
Afghanistan 100% Saudi Arabia 100% Somalia 100% Yemen 100%
Unfortunately, peace is never achieved, as in these 100% states the most radical Muslims intimidate and spew hatred, and satisfy their blood lust by killing less radical Muslims, for a variety of reasons.

It is important to understand that in some countries, with well under 100% Muslim populations, such as France, the minority Muslim populations live in ghettos, within which they are 100% Muslim, and within which they live by Sharia Law. The national police do not even enter these ghettos. There are no national courts, nor schools, nor non-Muslim religious facilities. In such situations, Muslims do not integrate into the community at large. The children attend Madrasses. They learn only the Koran. To even associate with an infidel is a crime punishable with death. Therefore, in some areas of certain nations, Muslim Imams and extremists exercise more power than the national average would indicate.
Today’s 1.5 billion Muslims make up 22% of the world’s population. But their birth rates dwarf the birth rates of Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Jews, and all other believers. Muslims will exceed 50% of the world’s population by the end of this century.

Well said and researched, Rob. Yes, the numbers are a bit dated, I think all percentages have increased some, but the point and behavior indicated is very true.

I just watched this. He is right, of course. It struck me how ‘politically incorrect’ he sounds – which tells us a lot about today’s society and its complete inability to accept hard truths. Last night at a parish discussion, a fellow-parishioner asked me “if I had forgiven Judas”. I tried to explain that the question made no sense.

What, then, is the plan of action? If we want to get anywhere, we must draw up a carefully-worded, researched proposal to submit to our respective governments. This proposal would need to embrace both foreign and domestic policy, which would involve thinking about our stance towards Turkey. There is also the matter of the Copts in Egypt, who are vulnerable.

I agree, it must be done but, Westminster, Washington, Brussels and the media get entirely too much money and power from the current situation. That plan of yours would be better highly publicized nationwide, leading to wholesale replacement of elected officials (in both countries).

At this stage in Europe we cannot look to existing secular government for resistance to Islamisation that’s for sure.
The brightest news is the increase in conversions from Islam to Christ in various Islamic countries. I recently read that the Christian population in Bangladesh is around 10% and continuing to rise at an unprecedented rate. This figure including the underground churches. The official figures around 1% only count churches officially registered with the government.
Christianity is gaining ground over Islam in sub Saharan Africa. Church attendance in UK is low but in the last few years has risen by 1.7%, while the evangelical churches have grown to 10% of the population in Spain.
The fact about these areas of growth is that such Christians are very serious about their faith in the Islamic world as are converts likely to be in Europe.
The phenomenon of Christian revival has a solid history particularly in UK and USA and we should hold out hope and pray for such in our day.

Indeed so. Those figures are very encouraging. A simple thought, one converting to Christianity where it very well be a death sentence, knows the value of Christianity far better than we do. We’d be wise to listen to them, and learn. And in truth, this is how Christianity spread in the first place, it was originally the religion of the oppressed, slave and women, primarily.

We should not discount the faithful members of Christ in historic churches in Islamic countries but hope that under current pressures they continue to survive and spread the gospel of Christ..

Its not getting better. Religions are killing people and torturing people, leaving behind orphans. First it was Nimrods religion, then its Nimrods religion which moved to Rome which continued the killing spree, and now its Islam doing the torturing and killing. After the Rapturos, the Man of Sin will have a plan, an answer to the religion problem. He will disband all religion, and you must join his religion, or die. Fortunately for the cathols, this new religion will have an image to bow to. they already love images. Too bad I wont be here to ride herd on you guys. Id love to stick around and tease you and make fun of you and kick you while youre down. But I will have a front row seat to watch your misery during the plaques.

Yes! Nobody listened till the problems began. Congratulations to the UK http://voxday.blogspot.com/2017/03/sovereignty-in-uk.html and the USA (Trump). Immigration in the USA since 1965 has been open-ended. We have allowed all without reservation to enter up to about 1 million per year for the last 25 years. Add to that illegals, who now number upwards of 12 million, and you can see why the troubles began. All the illegals must go back! The WALL must be built! Infiltration of drugs and the liberalization of the drug culture must stop, or at the very least, we must do all possible to slow it down. Restrictions on skills, education, and need should be restored.
