Starting today there will be be a temporary change to the blog. In place of the usual quotation from the Fathers there will be a series of essays on St. Cyril of Alexandria.

David rightly called me a ‘noodle’ for missing St. Cyril’s day last week, so in reparation to him, I have asked the person whose good-will I trespass on most often to share with us some catechetical material he wrote. It is a bit of a change, and chalecedon451 is quite convinced he will drive everyone away.

I told him that he shouldn’t worry as I’d still be writing the lead piece; that didn’t go down as well as I thought 🙂
